The story of Abram and Lot separating is one of repentance, obedience, grace, and abiding. Abram settles in the land of promise and builds an altar to the Lord, but Lot moves his tent as far as the wicked city of Sodom. God calls us to repentance when we, like Lot, have strayed. Like Abraham, we are called to obey God’s Word and abide in the land He has promised.
