Because Babylon ruthlessly plundered the nations of the earth, God brings five woes upon them. Everything that Babylon did to others will come back upon them, and God will get the victory. But as we read God’s judgment, it is easy to see that we have committed the same sins as Babylon. We need a Saviour to bear the woes that we deserve.
