The Waverley Young Adults is a ministry designed for those in that stage of life between high school and raising a family. Whether you are heading into the work force, studying at University or applying years of education to your career choice, this ministry is here to connect you with others to build lasting friendships, give you opportunity to serve in various settings and help to build your faith through studies of the Bible.
What do we value?
- Growing together in holiness
- Teaching from the Scriptures
- Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ
- Serving our church community, the city of Winnipeg and the world
How do we go about this?
We meet twice a month on Saturday’s for community events and Bible studies. As a part of Waverley church, our hope is that YA’s grow intentionally and purposefully in a body of local believers of all ages. For this purpose, we will communicate Waverley church events and service times, to extend a welcome to you if you do not have a church home.
Our hope is that several YA community groups form to experience ongoing fellowship, Bible study, intentional service and prayer. Our group is currently small, but we are growing! We are friendly, welcoming, and a diverse people. We’d love to see you out! If you ever need a ride to and from an event or to the church, do not hesitate to ask!
“We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1: 11-12
