Born and raised in Ontario, Chris has spent the majority of his adult life in the Prairies owing to his career as a pilot in the Canadian Forces. Chris received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 2000, and has joyfully called Waverley his church home since 2008 – even when the needs of the military has taken him elsewhere. He has served in a variety of ministry capacities, including: worship team, small group co-leader, budget committee, and previously served on the Deacon’s board as both secretary and vice-chairman from 2015-2017. Chris strongly desires to continue to grow in his love for the Lord, to use the gifts that He has granted him to serve His people.
Chris met his wife Megan at Waverley, and they married in 2010. The Lord has blessed them with two wonderful children – Kaitlyn and Brock – and they feel strongly convicted to do all that they can to raise them in a God-honouring fashion, and they take much joy in watching how the Lord has given them hearts to love and praise Him! In his (limited) spare time, Chris enjoys camping, golfing, playing guitar, and doing home renovations.
